I have a question for some who may have gone thru this-
My ex currently has custody for the majority of the time for our two children. In the beginning- ex would make the phone line busy for weeks at a time so I could not phone them. My lawyer complained. Judge set up specific times THEY ARE to be made available to talk by ex. Again- ex makes phone busy- unplugs it- has them take a bath- or makes em say hello and hang up on me — or not home- wont allow to call me on any of their three cell phones (has me blocked). (Also interecepts and takes mail/postcards/gifts/ and has me blocked form their email.) This has gone on countless times- which I recorded on my calendar. I filed contempt about a yr ago and judge slapped hand and said to cut it out and let em talk. But it happens again- and I recently sent in about 30 counts of contept (I wasnt sure if it should be 60- as each child has a case number.)
ANYHOW- I am asking for xxx amount of make up days/time with them- really whatever judge sees fit- but asked for one day each- so 30 days additional in summer or holidays or whatever judge sees fit. Also asking for mandatory phone time on holidays/birthdays. THERE have been times I have been extremely worried for their safety due to exs job/hours/house condition/ weather emergencies and the people ex allows in the home- which I did include in my contempt paperwork.
WHAT does the judge USUALLY decide. Am I asking something reasonable?
And at what point is there a considerable change in circumstances to order kids back with me?
